Macbook Air M1 Sims 4

So I was watching the video linked below and it shows that the temps on the macbook air m1 does sadly still get insanely hot (atleast imo?) on the cpu under sustained load. This is while honestly understandable is still worrying to me since I do plan to get a macbook air m1 and really don't want to spend 300$ more for the pro (es since the. I am considering buying the new MacBook Air M1 too! I have a really old MacBook pro mid2014 and really want to upgrade. Since the Sims 4 is a pretty heavy game and the new MacBook air does not have a cooler, do.

  1. Apple M1 chip comes in the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro 13″, and Mac Mini. The gaming experience can differ in these Macs as they pack different hardware other than the Apple M1 chip. But all three Macs will be able to run all the games that are given in the list. Games that are Compatible with M1 Macs.
  2. I've had a few comments asking how to install The Sims 4 on the MacBook Air - the solution is super simple and will take seconds!

Yes, Metro: Exodus runs on M1 Macs via Rosetta 2.

The third installment in the Metro Trilogy, Exodus is the best-looking and most enthralling Metro to date.

In Metro: Exodus, you’ll be finally able to flee the ruins of the Moscow Metro system and discover the post-apocalyptic Russian wilderness. The game also features vast, non-linear levels, and a great storyline.

Metro: Exodus M1 Mac support

Yes, Metro: Exodus runs on M1 Macs with Apple Silicon via Rosetta 2.

Last Updated: April 18, 2021:

What is Rosetta 2? Rosetta 2 is a translation process that enables an M1 Mac with Apple silicon to use apps built for Intel-based Macs.

The game was tested on the following M1 Mac:

  • 13-inch MacBook Air (2020): Apple M1 chip with 8-core CPU, 8 GB RAM

As you can see below, the game is still exclusively written for Intel-based Macs, but thanks to Rosetta 2, Metro: Exodus can nonetheless run great on M1 Macs:

Tested versions:

  • MacBook Air: MacOS Big Sur version 11.2.3
  • Metro: Exodus: Version 0.2.00.61

Metro: Exodus M1 Mac benchmarks

These are the Metro: Exodus M1 benchmarks we have gathered so far, from our friend, MrMacRight on YouTube:

BenchmarksHigh Settings & 900pMedium Settings & 1080p
MacBook Pro (M1, 2020) 40 FPS30 FPS

As a reminder, this is how we describe the different levels of performance:

  • Below 20 FPS: Unplayable: Laggy gameplay, full of stutters and slowdowns.
  • 20-30 FPS: Borderline: Can be OK in slow-paced games. Still, not optimal.
  • 30-45 FPS: Playable: Acceptable for most (most gaming consoles do this).
  • 45-60 FPS: Smooth: Fluid gameplay, with no perceivable stutters.
  • 60+ FPS: Very Smooth: For hardcore and professional players, a luxury for most.

We usually aim for 30 FPS, because 30 FPS is enough to guarantee a smooth and fluid experience for most casual gamers.

Hi, I decided to get a new macbook M1, but I can't decide which one to get. I am currently a grad school student. Usually I just use the computer for school work (essays, projects, emails), Youtube, and regular usage. I do use it for other kinds of purposes like music editing and video editing (but not to the extent of a professional). Sometimes I play games like the Sims 4 (also not an intensive gamer). Should I get the air or pro, depending on my usage? Right now, I prefer the Air because of the price and the amount of work it can do. But I'm afraid it will get really hot and slow as I increase the workload. I want to keep the new macbook for at least 6 years. If I do end up getting the Air, should I upgrade the RAM to 16GB? Thanks in advance!
